Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I can’t wait. I love to eat. I also really like to cook. Combined with spending time with the people you love and love you makes Thanksgiving one of my favorite Holidays.
Right, the Super Caesar Salad that I mentioned, I’m getting there. This salad is really good, and simple to make. I can’t take all the credit for this recipe, as I learned it from my Grandmother in-law a few Thanksgivings ago.
- Worcestershire
- A1 Sauce
- Tabasco
- Lemon
- Parmesan
- One egg
- Salt and Pepper
The egg and Tabasco can be optional, but I highly recommend you give the full version a try first. Mix equal parts Worcestershire sauce and A1 Sauce, squeeze a lemon wedge in with the raw egg and parmesan. Add Tabasco and the S&P to taste, and server over cold Romaine lettuce.
Don’t let the ingredients fool you this is a true Caesar Salad, a super one at that. Give it a try, I know you too will want to share it with those close to you as well.
There are several things that I’m thankful this year, but of them all, I am most thankful for time I have together with my wife. What are some of the things you’re thankful for this year?
Please share any comments you have on the salad below in the comments. 😀

“…squeeze a lemon wedge in with the raw egg and parmesan.”
Raw egg? Hopefully you mean hard boiled OR you missed the part where you COOK the egg?

The egg goes in raw, and the more cheese the better.

I’ve spent a good part of my young adulthood working in kitchens and I never exactly got the concept of eating an egg that hasn’t been cooked in some manner or another.
I think i’ll keep the egg ‘optional’.
Next time I get to the store I’ll buy a few additional needed ingredients and give it a go one night.

There would be no cooking of the egg needed in this recipe. Sounds really good if I may say so. I do believe that I will try this sometime. However you have started my brain on a mission to figure out how to manipulate this and make it my own. I will update with progress on that.
As for being thankful, I am thankful for my wife, 1 year old daughter, and my good friend Jack Daniels.
Christmas is right around the corner, so for all of those who feel the need to stand in lines for hours and hours I wish you luck. Baaah Humbug!
